And now that I'm moved...

I should probably say that Charleston is nice... but smells funny sometimes. I took some pictures of my WIPs. In the knitting world, things aren't getting done, but in my little house, things are getting done. My living room walls are painted, my office and Jared's office is painted. We still to paint the trim in all the rooms, but its coming a long nicely. My kitchen, which is one of the 2 rooms not being painted is a mess, but there is contact paper in the cabinets and some dishes. Hopefully this weekend I can get some sleep and get the rest of the ktichen together.

I did go to a stitch and bitch in Charleston this week, it was a very small group, but it was still pretty fun.

I'm still working on the borderof the blanket and almost done with the body of my sweater. Knitting is defiantely taking a back seat to my house right now. Its rather sad if you ask me.

Leave some comments if you read this, I feel like I'm typing into no mans land out here ;)

Well, that was cool!

Last night we went over to my supervisor's house for dinner, an not only is my supervisor, but my entire team from work is there! They threw me a surprise going away party! It was awesome!
We had drinks, we had great food- the burgers were awesome, and we had fireworks! I also jumped on the neighbors trampoline and did 2 front flips, but couldn't get my footing and landing on my butt both times! This is normal as I could rarely land on my feet when I had a trampoline in my own backyard. I think I want a trampoline again, that was great exercise!
My boss got me a card and some encouragement stones, and the team got my a wish necklace. Both are very nice!
You know, it was really touching to have people do something like that for you . I've only been there for a little over a year total, and I was really floored. I hope that they do that for other people when they move on. This actually made me a little more excited about our move thats only 19 days away.

We also closed on our house on Monday, so not only have I had the excitement of great going away party, but I also have all the excitement that I now own a home! How awesome can this week get? Really?

We're moving in 19 days... my birthday is in 15 days. July is crazy, and I love it.

I've also been working on another Thuja sock made from Laines du Nord Guinco that are super awesome :) I also started Jaywalker socks out of some really pretty koigu I bought last year. I'm also working on a a new sweater! I need to take pictures!

Tomorrow is a huge day. We're closing on our first house tomorrow. The lowdown of the house is here. We're super excited. We're moving on 22 days and very look out my house is packed!

There's some knitting going on here....

I'm knitting! I haven't touched my sister's baby blanket since Tuesday, but last night I pulled out my Sizzle and finished the back, even after ripping out the beginning of the arm hole. It looks like its going to look pretty good when its all said and done. I need to take pictures of every thing I'm working on, but who wants to take the time to take pictures when that means your are breaking into knitting and house hunting time? I'm hoping that this weekend, since I have nothing really to do this weekend. I know I have church Sunday and my dad's birthday too. I might actually clean up that crazy messy house of mine!

Well, thats it for this installment, I have work to do :)

An update :)

I guess you all want an update :) Well, here goes...

Nonknitting related: Jared got into gradaute school. We'll be moving to Charleston in July. I'm scared out of my mind! But, thats for another post. My sister's baby should be here soon... very soon and her birthday is tomorrow... she'll be 24. I can't believe she'll be 24 this year! How nuts!

Knitting related: I've finished nothing from that list on the side bar, just added more to it! I'm working on my sister's baby blanket. I hated the colors in her log cabin one, so I'm working on a garter type entralac pattern blanket in green and beige... she better love it! I'm also working on Jared's sweater. I finished one of the sleeves and need to work on the other sleeve, but my sister's blanket is taking precedent at the moment. I also started Green Gable from Zephyr Style. Its coming along nicely.

Well, I don't have a lot to talk about, so I'm going to end it here. See ya!

1 more FO...

I finished my toe up socks. They aren't the most comfortable.. but they are done! i need to weave in my 2 ends on each, but that can wait for another day, but I'm calling them done.

Now, I know I said I wouldn't buy anymore yarn, but, I did.. the Michael's near my house was closing. I ended up buying 4 balls of black lion wool and 2 balls of patons classis merina and 6 balls of paton's grace in light blue.

I'm trying to decide what project to work on next. I'm so prud of myself for finishing 3 prjects this month!

Pictures should cme in the next day or so!

Its an update!

I'm working on getting some of my old projects done. I finished my-so called scarf out of manos del uruguay and my spril ribbed fingerless gloves from Last Minute Knitted Gifts out of Plymouth encore. I need to make them with another 8 rows... they don't even cover my whole palm! But, the next pair will. I'm trying oh so hard not to start a new project, but its been difficult, but I need to keep working on some of the things I have been working on.

So, that leaves me with what is not crossed out on the list on the side bar. However, I think that I'm almost done with one of the sleeves for Jared's sweater, I'm almost done with the sleeve increases. I think he'll really like it when its all done. Too bad its been so warm that he may not even get to enjoy it. That would really really suck!

Well, thats about it kids! I'm off to go knit I think.
